Zero's dilemma of the heart

One bright eurly afternoon inside the Kuran Mansion Yuki Kuran is trying out many different kinds of ice cream flavours while trying not to spill to much on the floor and counter.
the reason the dark haired vampire princess was making a little dessert for herself was because of the hot sunny weather outside the mansion. it made Yukis cravings for ice cream unable to stay in control any longer and slowly had sneaked away to the kitchen when Kaname was not looking.

A large bowl with chocolate vanilla and soft cream was standing on the counter but she was not yet satisfied with the amount of ice cream that was inside of the white bowl/
Kneeling down below to take some more ice cream out of the refrigerator opens up the freeze drawer and decided on some more chocolate for the finishing touch.

With a satisfying smile on her face Yuki places the ice cream in the large bowl grabs it with both hands because it was really heavy and carries it back to the living room well she was trying to when suddenly Zero appears from behind the corner his short half buttoned his face looking very red and his breathing
was really swallow as he approaches Yuki with bright red eyes making Yuki gasp and almost letting the bowl with ice cream fall to the ground if it wasnt for her quick reflexes that got her to make her held the bowl still with one hand.

The silver haired hunter has a look in his eyes that makes Yuki believe him to be very thirsty rigth now thirsty for her blood.

Slowly Zero comes closer and when he is close enough to touch her he gently grabs one of her hands and starts licking of the spilled ices cream that was still sticking to her hands .

Taking a step back Yuki is glad they are still inside the kitchen and sits down on the wooden bench that was placed near the entrance of the kitchen. still holding the bowl in her hands looking at the ice cream with a pleading look but she knows that its just not possible to have a bite of her dessert not before Zero was done with drinking her blood.

If you are wondering why Zero was near Yuki doing this to her without her even fighting back well you see Zero Yuki and Kaname are living together in the Kuran mansion.
It all happend a couple of months ago when Zero had suddenly stood on the doorstep of the kuran house wanting to have a conversation with Yuki saying something about not being able to keep on hating her not being able to be without her friendship any longer but most of all only her blood was able to keep his vampire side at bay but that part he did not told Kaname when standing in the entrance of the door. yuki who had heared the whole conversation had came to the door and had tugged at his hand before he had given in and had led him back to the living room to talk.

In the end Zero and Kaname had both had made a truce with each other but the only reason the truce even excite was all because of Yuki. they both cared very much about the girl even though Zero never really showed it much Kaname knew it was true.

Yuki was delighted to have her friend back and Zero well Zero only had done it for Yuki
not for Kaname who clearly saw no need in having Yuki solve her friendship again but how could he refuse Yukis anything when he loved her so deeply and so he had accepted her wish to have Zero come live with them from now on.

Its been only a couple of months that Zero had moved in with yuki and Kaname and a very warm summer had approached slowly which made Zero on this particular day even more thirsty for Yukis blood that when he had seen her disappear from sight he had seen it as a chance to have a little private moment with her alone without Kaname watching him every move.

The pureblood prince really did not enjoy having Zero living with them but neither did Zero
it was all because of Yuki.

The dark haired pure blood prince saw Zero walk towards the kitchen and decides to led him go knowing fully well what was on the hunters mind but he had promised Yuki to remain friendly whenever they were together in the room. For Yuki he did everything even accepting the privet moments she shared with Him but that did not take away his jealousy he felt when knowing what was going on in the kitchen bathroom garden or any other place they had decided to make love in no Kaname really saw the hunter as a treat to the live of his precious girl. but what could he do when Yuki desired them both just the same
and it made him accept it painfully.

Yuki looks over at Zero still a but shaken with his sudden actions and calls his name softly.
''Zero please cant you see i was trying to eat some ice cream just now cant you wait a bit'' she tries to get him to stop his actions. but Zero saw no need to given any sign of having heard her led go of her hand to start placing away some of her hair to preparing to bite her neck.

Moving forwards he bears his fangs and bites into her neck to start drinking hungrily
Yukis eyes close tight and a soft gasp escapes her lips as she gives in to him knowing full well its no use to struggle against him when he was this thirsty.

Zeros eyes turn a even brighter red as he drinks deeply from Yukis rich noble blood
the only blood that kept him able to keep to his humanity.

When he was done he gently backs away a little and sits back against the wall his breathing had returned to normal and even his eyes had returned back to their normal violet colour
his eyes were gentle as he takes in Yukis appearance.
The pink summer dress really suited Yukis figure her long dark brown hair and her chocolate brown eyes very well yes Zero was convinced that Pink was the colour that suited Yuki the best.

But Yukis attention had returned back to her ice cream that was slowly melting by now
she pouts when seeing the melting ice cream and quickly sticks her spoon in the bowl to eat the bits that still have not melted yet ignoring Zeros eyes watching her now.

At that same moment when Yuki was eating the ice cream and Zero still very much was entertained with watching Yuki Kaname came inside the kitchen with slow steps he came to a stop before Yuki and sat down besides the young woman.

Yuki looks up who had sat down besides her and smiles warmly up at him.

''Kaname-oni-sama'' she greets the dark haired vampire prince with a happy tone to her voice
Kaname returns her smile and swifts his attention from Yuki to Zero for a second but a second is all he needs to know that Zero had achieved what he had planned to do when he went to follow Yuki not that
long ago. he was no longer distressed in any way but looks very relaxed and calm right now and that made him believe that Zero got what he desired for the blood of his precious girl.

trying to hide his frown Kaname gently kissed Yuki on both her cheeks and placed a hand on her skirt while looking Yuki in the eye who had again turned back to eating her ice cream.

Leaning forwards he grabs two long strays of her hair in between his long fingers and starts to twirl it around slowly which got Yuki to look at him in surprise.

''Kaname-oni-sama?'' she says with a confused tone to her voice.
But Kaname did not react at all to Yukis calling his name and continues on to play with Yukis hair.

Zero knows all about Kanames little tricks to get Yuki to allow him to drink her blood and he knows its only Kaname thats getting it willingly

Not much later Yukis is seated on Kanames lap while having her head leaning into the dark haired vampire prince neck drinking his blood very slowly as if she is severing every drip of blood that comes on her tongue

Kaname is having his eyes closed as he lets his sister drink to her hearts desire.
whenever moments like this happen and Zero is there as well the silver haired hunter always tries to fight his blood lust but cant stop his body to react to the sight before him.

Wanting Yuki to only chose him to drink only his blood and just forget about her brother Kuran but he knows that will never happen she loves them both equally and that makes him just surrender to her will while thinking what might have been.

The day turns into night and Zero takes it upon himself to cook their meals not that Yuki and Kaname have any need of food since they are vampires but Zero still is a ex human and his habit to eat did not disappear the moment he gradated high school and went to live on his own while following lessons from his teacher Touga Yagari to one day become the president of the hunter Association.

Leaving Yuki and Kaname alone the silver haired youth makes his way into the kitchen to sigh deeply when seeing the state the kitchen was in. ice cream on the counter on the floor even the sink was all covered with it.

Taking a bowl with hot water he starts to mop up the ice cream from the floor and the counter while grumbling to himself to not letting Yuki inside the kitchen not with either him or Kaname there to keep a watchful eye.

After ten minutes he is all finished cleaning grabs three steaks a plastic package with salty potatoes and lays it down on the counter opens the refrigerator to take out some buter melts it inside the pan and slowly when its all melted places the steaks inside the pan.

grabs another pan he melts more boter and throws the potatoes inside the smaller pan.

while the steaks and the chips are heated up he gets down on his knees to get a white bowl to make some simple salad with corn tomatoes eggs and as extra.

Zero really enjoys cooking even from a very young age he was all ready very fascinated with how to cook soup vegetables and even meat that when he came to live with the Chairman and Yuki he took it to himself to cook whenever Kaien Cross was busy with meetings concerning the school.

Yuki really missed Zeros food when she came to live with Kaname so you can image how happy the vampire princess was when Zero was back in her live back to live with her just like old times.

She was leaning with her head against her elder brothers shoulder her eyes half closed and feeling very content when suddenly the smell of Zeros cooking comes to her nose. a delighted smile appears on her face and makes her excited to taste his food knowing that whenever Zero cooked for them it always tasted wonderful.

Even Kaname had to admit that Zeros talent for cooking was much better then the maid that always served their dinner before Zero came to live with them not that the proud vampire prince is ever going to admit to anyone but Yuki who knows her brother completely noticed he likes her hunters food just as much as she did.

Meanwhile Zero is all done with his cooking sets the fire low and walks out of the kitchen to grab a couple of plates to set the table swiftly. he is in a hurry because a mission of the hunter association needs his full attention tonight all ready thinking what Yuki and Kaname would be doing the moment he said even one foot out of the door but it cant be helped he is a vampire hunter and needs to do his job.

Walking back inside the living room he glances inside to see were the both of them were and turns his eyes away when seeing Kuran and Yuki in a very passionate kiss.

Trying to ignore the sight before him he says in a very serious tone.
''Dinner is ready guys'' to turn away again to the kitchen to get the food.

Yuki stops the kiss and glance at the kitchen just to see Zeros retreating back.

She knows its still hard for Zero to accept her decision but she cant just let him feel this down rigth before dinner stands up from the sofa gives Kaname one more kiss on the cheek and follows Zero into the kitchen.

Kaname knows she has Zero to consider but why did the hunter had to come in just on this very moment it makes the pureblood prince very annoyed specially when he saw Yuki felt guilty about it he sighs heavily and tries to keep himself entertained with other things grabs a book from the small coffee table and starts to read well more trying to.

Zero was just about to make the desserts when he felt Yuki approach the kitchen turns away from the counter to face the dark haired princess.

''Yuki'' he breaths and steps closer towards the girl.
Said girl giggles softly as she grabs his shirt tightly in her hands and starts to open up his buttons to reveal his tinned well formed chest leans with her head to start kissing his neck and full mouth hungrily
''Zero i am sorry'' she says in between kisses. ''How can i make up for this'' and continues to kiss him a little bit more slower now.

Zero breathing is very fast now as he keeps up easily with his dark haired lover and makes his tongue sought access with hers which she easily allows.

With his hands in her hair he makes her come even closer to his body
Kisses her in a way only he could.

''I have all ready forgiven you dont worry my dearest'' removes his mouth from hers to held her in a tender embrace for a very long time just enjoying her body close to his.

After a little while both Yuki and Zero return back to the living room
Zero heart not that heavy any more and Yuki well Yuki was glad that she was always able to make Zero happy again.

Carrying both pans in one hand the silver haired youth places them on the dinner table
while Yuki goes to Kanames sight again grabs his hand and leads him to the table.

Sitting next to Zero and opposite Kaname Yuki wears a happy content smile on her face
delighted to have dinner with the two most gorgeous guys alive that both love her completely.

Dinner is silent but not as tense as it usual is Zero is trying his hardest to keep himself from becoming tense when being in the same room as Kaname and keeps his attention to his dinner and glances over at Yuki who gives him a warm smile whenever she catches his eyes on her.

They talk about their day and Zero announces he has to work tonight
Yukis face fell and sighs unhappily. ''Aww Zero why now i thought that tonight we could enjoy it all together
I have finally a couple of days off from studying. even Kaname-oni-sama has no work, only you. cant you move it tomorrow?''

Zero sighs and knew Yukis reaction would be like this and shakes his head. ''I am sorry Yuki but i cant this Level E has been trouble for far to long it has to be killed and soon before more innocent people get hurt i am sure you understand what that means''

The dark brown haired girl nods her head unhappily.

''Be back soon then wont you?'' and gives him a very pleading look
that he just cant ignore and nods his head in answer.

''I try my best Yuki you know i will''

Standing up from his chair he kisses her softly on her forehead before retreating down the door and on his way to get this Level E killed.

While Yuki stares at his back until he is completely gone.

Kaname stands up and gently makes her sit on his lap.
''Yuki love you know Zero is a hunter who takes his work very seriously he be back before you know it trust me'' he says and kisses her cheeks at both sides tenderly.

''I know Kaname but i thought that tonight he finally would have a day off from work but i gues i was wrong'' and looks very unhappy now.

Never wanting to se Yuki wear such a expression on her face makes him embrace her tenderly.
''Yuki my love try to forget Kiryu-kun for now and let me have your full attention
''Kiss me'' Giggling she does what he asks her and starts to kiss him softly on the lips.

CHAPTER 2



Zero walks away from the mansion in a quick pace wanting to have this over with real quick. thinking to just kill this Level E and get back to Yuki as fast as he could but the moment he arrives in the streets were the low live vampire had been seen the last time Zero really has no idea were to look, his hunters senses dont pick up anything but humans and a couple of noble vampires near by. it makes the silver haired very confused of what to do now.

Leaning with his back against a stone wall he looks into the distance and sighs deeply. a small frown on his face and a little annoyed with himself right now thinking why he cant seem to find the Level E.

Until suddenly two blood lusting vampires cross his path blood still on their lips and hands as they come closer growling and having their fangs bared ready to attack Zero any minute now.

Zero grabs his gun and gets into a fighting position.
the two Level E a woman with long light blond hair wearing a dress with many holes in it and a man in a suit wearing black sun glasses both growl at Zero dangerously but this is what Zero was waiting for
a smirk appears on his lips as he makes quick work with the man who falls down to his knees and turns in nothing but dust the minute his body touches the ground.

The woman shrieks when seeing her companion fall and attacks with her long sharp nails jumping right to Zeros shoulders but the hunter is all ready ready for the attack and with two shots one at her head and one at her shoulders even the woman is no match for the experienced silver haired hunter.

Placing Bloody Rose back into his pocket at the back of his pants he dusts himself of and with a satisfying feeling inside of him starts to make his way back to the Hunters association ready to report his mission.

The moment he steps inside the association many hunters turn and stare at the silver haired boy but Zero takes no notice of either of the man that glanced his way but kept on moving into the direction of the office were he had to report his mission.

Standing still before the door he gets hold of the clink and opens the door to step inside the room swiftly
Yagari and Kaito look at the door and see Zero enter and stop the conversation they just had not finding it very fitting to get Zero into it just yet.

The younger boy furrows his eyebrows at his elder hunters behaviour and sighs not really wanna know what they were talking about all he wanted was to get back to Yuki that's all he longed for now.

''Succeeded in getting rid of the level E that were terrorising the town

Kaitou walks towards the silver haired boy and pets him on the shoulder a grin spread over his face as he does it.

''Good work Zero but before you go back i want you to do one more thing for me there is a been a bit of a up roar at the beginning of this street near Cross Academy i think you might have heard about it can you get rid of the levels E's over there and then you should take a couple of days off you look clearly over worked''

This made Zero sighs and look at his fellow vampire hunter college. ''Fine i do it'' and turned to walk out of the door and this time neither Kaitou or Yagari would stop him senses his fuel mood.

Ever since Zero had returned to Yuki side and had agreed to go live at he Kuran manor his mood had clearly changed from being all emotionles and moody to a young man that took the time to have a normal conversation with from time to time but when it came to late nigth missions Zero much rather stayed at the Kurans princess side then get on the mission. which before his move to the Kurans manor never said no against always eager to kill some of the bitches.

Yagari and Kaitou thought Zero changed for the better but somehow they thought living together with Kuran Kaname would not stay without it getting out of hand sooner or later.


Zero was back out in the streets and thought to quickly to get rid of the invading Levels Es near the Academy but it took longer then he thought it would. this time their were 4 low live vampires surrounding him the minute he got at the place they were last been reported.

and since he was in a very bad mood it made him to get very angry and thought those bastards before him now would get a taste of his anger by shooting them without any mercy.

No before long all four vampires had become nothing but dusts on the street and he quickly hurried back to the kuran residence but he did not expect that when he returned back the whole mansion was all dark and silent it made him shrug his shoulders remove his jacket and hang it on one of the chairs that stood inside the large kitchen before he slowly starts to make his way back upstairs to the room he was staying in. realizing how tired he really was as he almost tumbles over his own legs

Undressing himself till only his boxers he dives under the covers and is asleep in only a couple of minutes not aware of two pair of eyes watching him sleep he really was that tired to even notice Yuki and Kurans presence inside the room. both were hidden behind a large wardrobe that stood in the corner of the room.

Yuki was giggling softly and her cheeks were are all flushed by Zeros unknown striptease show he had given to her unaware of her presence inside the room at all. while besides her Kaname was not very much amused by the way Yuki was acting right now he had promised her to be civil with the hunter and he had agreed to try to get along with him for her sake but he surly did not agreed on being made to watch Zero undress and sleep no Kaname rather took Yuki back to their own chamber to have her all to himself then being here inside the hunters room of all places.

He grows a little and shakes his head as Yuki attempts to crawl besides the hunters side all ready knowing what Kiryu would do when noticing Yuki had found her way to his arms again.

Glancing in the direction of her brother Yuki gets a small nod in return and which gets her to wrap her arms round the hunters waist who doesnt even reacts to it so deeply he is all ready sleeping.

''Poor Zero he really works so hard'' Yuki says as she tenderly runs her fingers through his silken silver colored hair. ''He needs some relaxing to get rid of all the tension inside his body dont you agree Oni-sama?'' Kaname rolls his eyes not really liking the way this was going one bit.

''Yuki dear we better leave Kiryu be to let him get his rest instead of you ruining the little sleep he is still able to get and makes a attempt to get her to get out of the bed and return to their own chambers but Yuki shakes her head furiously. ''No i cant let Zero stay this way, leave if you want to Oni-sama but i will stay'' and turns her head away again to softly starts to kiss the hunters neck and massage his shoulders with her delicate hands which finally gets Zero's eye to flutter open again

''Yuki?'' he says still very sleepy ''what are you doing here?'' Yuki stops which what she was doing to put a finger to her mouth ''Shhh Zero just relax and let me take care of you tonight you have been soo tensed up all week don't you think i didn't notice. i cant stand to see you this way come just lay down and relax'' But Zero saw Kuran near the door opening and knew with him around there was really no way he could relax not with him still being around.

Yuki notices her brother was still inside the room and knew that as long that he was there she would not get anywere with Zero. the hunter still did not trust her brother completely yet and that made her sigh deeply. she had to go and ask her brother to wait for her while she took care of her hunter but knew Kaname was getting really annoyed with that every time it happened.

Until she thought to just try to play the innocent little princess neither of her boys could resist anything and ask Kaname to join them on the bed. knowing it was a great risk she was getting herself into but without given it a try she would never know and she soo badly wanted her boys to get along to stop their hatred they still harbored for each other and just get along like good friends maybe even lovers did but that was too much to ask for them now. her little fantasies could wait a little while longer the most important part was to get her brother to come lay down besides her and Zero and neither man would try to get away because of their disliking for each other.

Glancing over in the direction of her brother with a very innocent expression. sad looking eyes looking like she badly wanted to get his attention. ''Kaname oni-sama would you please join us here
Zero gets too distracted if you remain standing there. i want you to join us please?'' she says rather sweetly fluttering her whimpers at him to make him unable to resist her even if he tried.

But Zero knew were this was going and tries to get away from the bed not wanting to have anything to do with Yukis silly idea to get him and Kuran to get along. when would she ever understand that it just wasnt so simple. he could not trust Kuran the way he could trust Yuki. it was only her that made him bare to be here not Kuran specialy not Kuran

The bed really was more then big enough for the three of them to sleep in but Zero really did not liked the idea one bit to be sharing it with Kuran in it as well but when he saw Yukis puppy eyes given him a very pleading look he could not resist to look at those big brown eyes of her before he gives in and sighs deeply, looking at Kuran who came to the bed slowly not liking Yukis idea not that well either but when it came to his little princess he could not say no and without given even Zero one glance lay down on the other side of Yuki. feeling a little uncomfortable with Kiryu so close by now, but Yuki did not sensed any of the tension in the air,or just ignored it all completely and happily wraps her arms round both her boys all smiles and giggles as she lays in the middle of the bed with Zero and Kaname at both her sides.

Zero tries his best to ignore the company of Kaname in his bed and just tries to enjoy having Yuki so close by. soon enough his eyes close again making him fall in a deep sleep once more.

Yuki sees zero fall asleep again and pouts, disappointed that he had gone back to sleep again without given her any attention at all .

Zero did his best he could to stay awake he really did but in the end sleep over won his will to stay awake that even with her company could not make him stay awake long before he lost the fight again to sleep.

Kaname looks at her then and gives her a warm smile. ''I told you so Yuki, Kiryu needs his rest''
you will have his attention as soon as he is awake again. what will you do now dear?'' hoping that she would leave Zero finally and went back to bed with him but when she shakes her head he wasnt all that surprised either.

''Lets keep Zero company awhile longer Oni-sama i want to stay here with him for as long that he sleeps so that when he wakes up again i am the first one he sees'' she says happily and smiles sweetly making Kaname believe she really means what she says and nods his head in defeat.

''Staying here it is then'' he says softly as he gently takes her in his arms.
''Thank you Kaname oni-sama and hugs him tight making him kiss her forehead and lips for a very long time while Zero does not noticed one thing he is deeply sleeping unaware of everything happening around him.

The next morning Zero woke up to find Yuki nestled with her head against his chest.
her hair all tangled up and looking like a real mess as she lay sleeping so close to him.
making him looking at her with a tender smile on his lips. not really minding the view he was looking at right now but when besides him the dark prince Kuran Kaname opens up his eyes sleepily Zero quickly removes his gaze away from Yuki pretending to sleep again hoping to keep Yuki this way a little while longer if he remains as he is now.

But Yuki had other plans in mind as soon as she had noticed Zero had woken up she had acted as if she was still sleeping to make Zero believe it was ok to open up his eyes so that she was absolutely sure he was awake to get on with her teasing.

the moment Zero had closed his eyes again Yuki suddenly moves more closer to were he lay sleeping and since she was all ready really close by that was easily done and starts to catch his lips upon her own very tenderly and slowly making Zero open up his eyes wide not believing Yuki would do something like this with Kuran in the bed as well but it seemed like she was unaware of his gaze upon her to stop what she was doing and pushed her lips even more on his own making Zero respond to her kiss, no longer resisting his urges to kiss her just has bad as she was doing now to him.

Closing his eyes he lost himself very deeply to the passion of kissing Yuki until Kaname had come closer to Yukis side making her stop what she was doing the moment she sensed her brother coming closer.

Kaname had taking the young woman in his arms and starts to kiss her rigth in front of Kiryu
with a look that said she is mind dont touch her.

Making Zero scowl at Kaname who had dared to come so close to him and who had distracted Yuki away from him his side making him stand up from the bed grab for his clothes and dissapears into the bathroom.

Kurans action had been what got him to lose the patience he had still left and made him bolt for the door.

Enough was enough no matter what Yuki said or did now it jsut wasnt working anymore on the silver haired hunter.

He needed to clear his head and maybe a cold shower would do the job right now
it was weekend and normally he never left the house anymore just to stay close to Yukis side but with Kurans little trick just now made Zero think about getting away for a time.

He had to get out of this house and he needed to get away now.

After a quick shower Zero dressed in some simple clothes jeans and a button up shirt just so that he was able to get away from this house and fast.

Afrer he had graduated and passed his driving license test Cross had given him a car as a present and glad he did because right now he was really glad to be able to use the car and get away from it all.

Almost running Zero passed the living room grabs his keys from the counter were he always placed them opens up the front door and closes it loudly behind him in anger as he runs towards his car.

Opening up the door towards the drivers seat he gets in front of the wheel starts the engine and with a lot of noise drives away.

When he was sure he was as far away from the house as possible he was finally able to breath again
leaning with his back against the seat he sighs deeply thinking about the mess he was getting him self into thinking about why he had ever agreed on living with Kuran of all people.

Meanwhile Yuki was starting to get very paniced why had Zero reacted this way so sudden
it was only one silly kiss nothing more and nothing less normally he would just have gone to take a shower and would be coming back a little while later telling them breakfast was ready but now Yuki wasnt so sure if he ever were to come back again.

She gazed over at Kaname who was strangely silent and had not said even one word after Zero had left. ''Oni-sama why?'' why did Zero left i dont understand?'' Yuki says as she crawls over to his side and wraps her arms round his waist as she softly starts to sob sorrowfully.
Kaname looks at his little princess all in tears just because of Kiryu. makes him starting to feel very angry at the hunter right now.

No one would get his little princess to be in tears not even Kiryu.
Gently he wraps her arms round her even more tighter and starts to talk to her in a hushed voice
''Shh my Yuki it be ok Kiryu just needs to blow up some steam he be back before you know it
why dont i take you for a nice warm shower it would do you some good what you say like that?'' he asks with a tender tone to his voice making her nod her head slightly.

Picking her up in his arms he slowly carries her towards the bathroom gently lets her stand on her own feet again as he lets the water run inside the bath and takes her back in his arms again as they waited for the bath to fill up totally.

Since it was still early in the morning Zero had no trouble to get through hordes of traffic
the highway was as good as empty he notices as he speeds over it with great haste not really caring if he was going to fast right now all he wanted was to just forget about everything for awhile and just focus only on driving his car.

But soon enough the effects of racing top speed over the high way wore off leaving him with a hollow feeling inside his heart when his mind went back on Yuki.

He just could not get it over his heart to leave her but with Kuran around almost every minute of every day well it seemed that way for Zero it really made it dam hard to just stay in the house and share Yuki with that horrid man. No Zero had to get himself away from Yuki knowing she would be able to understand if not now then later and certaintly Kuran would make sure she was well entertained when he wasnt there to steal her away that though alone made him get a firm grib on the wheel to not lose himself again in anger there by getting his knuckles all white in the progress.

Taking a deep breath to get himself to calm down again Zero decides on going into the direction of the beach knowing the soft breeze that blew there would be able to get himself to calm down completely.

His mind set on a direction to go he turned the wheel around and drove towards the near by beach.

Not even twenty minutes later Zero parked his car in the almost empty parking lot slapped the door shut and made his way towards the almost a bended beach breathing in the salty sea air as he walks over the sand.

After awhile he bends over to remove his shoes and socks and with the bundle in hand wades through the cold sea water while the wind plays with his silver bangs blowing it into his eyes and face but the young man is not really minding it much and keeps on walking his gaze fixed on the ground as he continues on.

Breathing in deeply he is finally starting to relax if only for a little trying to not let his mind wonder back to Yuki and Kuran no all Zero wants now is just to be able to get his mind to go blank and be just Zero not Zero the vampire hunter ex human turned vampire.

Soon the sun starts to rise hiring in the sky making Zero look up at the sky and back at his watch to see that morning had almost passed by all ready maybe it was a good idea to check up on the other hunters now that he really had no desire to get back home. with that thought in mind he leaves the beach behind while walking in a slow pace not really in a hurry to leave just yet.

But before he was even near enough to the parking lot he could sense some of the hunters had assembled there made him sigh deeply when he recognized the hunter that stood leaning with his back against the car Zero owned a fading smirk on the elder hunters feature as he watches in the direction Zero stood.

Kaitou? what was Kaitou doing here and on the beach of all places making Zero shake his head confused before he starts to make his way towards his car

To have the ash haired elder hunter move away from the car and places a hand on the younger mans shoulder when he was close enough for him to do so and starts to talk then looking Zero all over when doing so.

''Man Zero-kun you really dont look too good at all dont you what happened ?''
Zero runs a hand through his silver hair and sighs deeply.
''thats not something of your concern Kaitou i am more concerned of the reason why you followed me here if you wanted me to get to come to headquarters you could have just called me and i would come you know?''

Chuckling softly Kaitou nods his head. ''I would of course Zero-kun but with you and the Kuran princess living together which i still find some of the most foolish decisions you could have made i thought to not to disturb you since its not really that important but when i went for a early walk on the beach and sensed you to be here i thought to come to see why you were here and not at the vampires nest'' and that last word he spoke with menace in his voice.

Making Zero turn away from the elder hunter and back at the beach before he starts to talk again very softly trying not to get angry all over again.

''The reason why i am here now was because of Kuran'' and stops here to keep himself under control even more but he could not help it whenever that mans name was being voiced out loud made him get so very angry.

Kaitou noticed Zero sounded very frustrated stressed even when listening to his explanation of why he was behaving this way. when he was all done with telling the whole storie Kaitou shook his head and cant help but say he did''nt warned him before.

''Seriously Zero-kun if you had only listened to any words of advice me and Yagari-sensei gave to you before you without thinking dashed out of the room to go and live with that Kuran princess
who accepted you back like a lost puppy you were. please Zero-kun would you exactly believe she was truly telling you it was all fine now between you too. she is a pureblood now Zero she is no longer the human girl you were so fond of back in your childhood days. i thought you understood that perfectly well.but i guess i was wrong. I hope now that with what you said Kuran did finally made you open up your eyes. Yuki Kuran will never be yours to hold anymore, you have to realize that vampire princess will never yours alone''

and stops his ranting to give Zero time to think it all over but it only made Zero feel even more depressed and more confused then he all ready was. but not dared to show it to Kaitou instead he gave a firm nod to his fellow hunter companion and tried his best to compose him self as best as he could

''Thank you for making this all clear for me Kaitou but what would you have done if the girl that you love with all your heart cant seem to chose between her elder brother who also is her fiancee and me a ex human turned vampire hunter who just cant seem to give up on her. tell me that?''

Sighing in frustration Kaitou turns away more then done with this conversation that clearly was not getting anywhere.

''Fine'' The ash haired hunter growled ''Be that way Zero-kun but before you go and ruin your live even further then you have all ready done so far Cross told me to ask you to bring him a visit he has some business to discus with you that seemed to be important so if i where you i would come and get a little bit more focused on your job as a hunter instead of drowning yourself in sorrow'' and with that said the elder hunter left Zero behind walking briskly away from sight.

Making Zero sigh deeply before he opened the door to his car again got inside and sat there for a very long time just thinking about everything that Kaitou had said what Kuran had done this morning about Yuki. Zero clearly felt very confused and alone this very moment until suddenly a hand came up from behind him gently touching his cheek as a low chuckle was being heard Zero recognized it as the only person that could laugh like that. ''Ichiru?'' he spoke softly still a but unsure if it really was his lost twin brother that had come back to him in his dream like before at the graveyard so long ago.

The chuckling continued on for a bit longer until the younger kiryu twin saw no need to hide himself any longer and revealed himself before his elder brother with a smirk playing on his lips.
''Zero my foolish brother why dont you never listen to the advice people give you always trying to be the stubborn one arent you neh Zero?'' he asked with a soft tone to his voice not really wanting Zero to become annoyed this fast all ready.

Blinking with his eyes for a couple of times is Zero believing that it really is his brother thats now sitting right besides him in the car. ''I am uhm i dont know what to say or do anymore'' he says in a defeated manner as he runs with a couple of fingers through his unruly silver hair.

Shaking his head Ichiru gives his brother a friendly pet on his shoulder before he grabs him in a firm hug holding him close like he had done so many time before back in the time when they were still kids
''Its ok Zero sometimes we all find ourself with no way out but then we need to keep being strong and keep on thinking on the bright side of things like now. i am still here to support you when you need it'' he spoke with a friendly and warm tone to his voice which made Zero feel much better again
what made him think he could live without the support of his only twin brother that still and always would be a part of him for as long that he would live.

''I,i am sorry Ichiru i really thought i made the right decision when i decided to move in with Yuki and Kuran but i found out the hard way that it just could not work not like this i cant share Yuki not with that man

Ichiru nods in agreement and gives him a fond smile.
''Zero you know i have disliked Kaitou from the very first moment we met but what i have he told you does make sense to me. you have responsibilities concerning the hunter association you are a vampire hunter Zero one of the best out there. would you give that all up just to have the Kuran princess being the very center of your live is she really all that matters to you most of all? and if you cant answer that question what about your future?'' what about you being the number one in line to become the new president of the association as soon as you turn of age which is only one year from now.
have you even thought about that seriously yet Zero?'' and here the younger twin stops talking and grows silent when waiting for his brother to give him the answers he wishes to get but all Zero does is sigh again deeply looking like a complete mess when seated with his head low towards the ground, his silver bangs almost completely covering most part of his eyes which makes it hard for Ichiru to see what kind of expression his elder brother was wearing right now.

After a long time of complete silence Zero looks back up again at his twin brother runs a hand through his hair once more and then started to speak once more.
''Its funny to have you agree with Kaitou now Ichiru but i cant blame you

''You are completely right i have to focus myself on the future but as you well known i am not like the other hunters i am no longer human Ichiru you dont know what't it like to grave day and day again the blood of Yuki Kuran only her blood is making me think i am still human that i have still at least a little bit part of humanity left within me but maybe you are right you always were the smarter one of us both maybe i should start thinking about my position in a year from now i mean master yagari keeps hammering on when i have come on age to take over the businesses from him'' and here he sighs again and looks back into his brothers eyes, eyes so much like his own.

Ichiru gives a slow nod in agreement. ''Yes thats what i am trying to get through to your head dummy
''Why don't you try getting away for awhile try traveling to a place you have never been before
i am not sure what the chairman did in your summer holidays but trust me i think it would do you some good to get away from the Kurans for a chance neh Zero-ni?'' he finished talking than and smiles warmly back at his brother who had a look of surprise on his face looking quite confused.

''You mean like going on a holiday Ichiru but what about my work as a hunter than i cant just leave master yagari, Kaitou and the whole association behind just like that?''

Hearing this Ichiru start to chuckle again. ''oh please Zero-ni everyone can see how clearly over worked you look trust me neither of them would disagree if you were to tell them this idea''

Reaching out his hand then he slowly removes his brothers bangs away from his eyes who shivers slighly under his brothers touch that even through his brother was long gone he still felt like he were still alive somehow.

With one last glance at his older twin brother Ichiru fades away into nothing while wearing a playful smirk on his face making Zero look around him in confusion until he finally realized he was all alone once more.

Starting the engine again Zero gets in front of the wheel again and turns the car around to ride away from the parking lot and the beach Kaitou had menaced something about the chairman wanted to see him and when looking at the digital clock underneath his radio he saw that it was only half past 3 time enough to pay the old man a visit before deciding were to go from there.

By the time he drove up Cross academy the prestige academy was all deserted since it was weekend most of the students were out into town or keeping themselves busy with studying or whatever else they were doing Zero did not care one bit as he waltzed inside the chairman's office to find the desk empty no chairman seated behind his desk at all making Zero sigh in annoyance.
''were is that idiotic man when you need him he thought as he walked out of the office again thinking to look around the academy first before given up his search and strolls over the academy grounds for a time but when it was really starting to get dark and he still had not even one clue of were he could be Zero paced back to the office hoping to find him there this time and he was relieved when he saw the elder man seated behind his desk writing something leaned forwards as he did so

Without knocking he let himself in and stood still before the chairman's desk making Kaien Cross look up in surprise to find his adoptive son before him now all of a sudden but when taking in the young mans expression he knew something bad had happened Zero was frowning like really frowning clearly not all that happy about something the elder man thought when looking at the silver haired youth before him now.

''Kiryu-kun what makes you come here is everything all rigth with you with my dear Yuki-chan
making Zero sigh again while shaking his head. ''No nothing is all right anymore and its all because of Kuran'' he spat angrily making Kaien cross believe Kaname had gone to far this time which had gotten Zero to lose his patience and had exploded finally. ''Oh dear what did Kaname-kun do to make you this angry than Kiryu-kun i thought you finally had made peach with him but i gues that peace was not long lived than i think'' Zero growled under his breath than and shook his head in anger while trying to keep calm. ''I save you the details chairman its no use telling you how much i hate that dam bastard'' and runs his hand through his unruly silver hair then before speaking again.
''I met Kaitou this morning and he told me to come see you so here i am whats so important that i have to come all the way to the academy for huh?'' Zero asked and makes the Chairman turn all serious than.

''I think the assignment i have for both you and Kaitou than seemed to come on just the right time because Kiryu-kun you seem to be in need of something to keep your mind off the Kurans am i right?''
but all Zero did was just remain silent and gave a slow nod only
''What if i tell you that this assignment will take you all the way to Italy, to Rome to be exact
Would you take it and go there together with him?'' Zero blinks and looked slightly puzzled before speaking again. ''Rome what do we need to do in rome explain Chairman?''

Only this time his goofy smile he always wore when being in a silly cheerful mood appeared again on the pony tailed haired man and made him search around on his desk to show two red airplane tickets in his hand holding them rigth in front of Zero's face while grinning from ear to ear.
''To send you both on a holiday of course now go on accept them. i all ready told Kaitou to pick you up later tonight so you better stay around here and pack some of your things quickly since your flight will go in about three hours from now'' and when Zero just kept on staring in disbelieve the Chairman shoved the tickets in the young man's hand folding his hand open gently he lay them in his hand and folded the hand closed again.

''Uhh i dont understand Zero began but the chairman shook his head.''There is no need to thank me but if you must know it was your master and i together that came up with this idea
when noticing how very stressed and over worked you seemed to be we came to the conclusion that you needed to go on a long holiday away from everything for awhile and now that you and Kaname-kun seem to be in a sort of a fight over my dear Yuki what more excuse do you need to pack your stuff and go'' Standing up from his desk the elder man gets behind Zero and shoved him out of the door
''Go Kiryu-kun and have some fun'' with that said the man returned back to his office again and pretended to be hard on work making Zero look at the plane tickets that lay inside the palm of his hand now still not believing that without saying even one word about planning to go on a holidays because of his brothers advice the chairman and his master had all ready everything planned

Before he could even voiced out even one word about it.
Shaking his head for the third time the silver haired young man walks out of the hallway and towards his old room still not believing he was just like that send on a holiday and with Kaitou of all people to accompany him.

When noticing Zero had gone to pack his things Kaien cant help but grin to himself
he was no fool when it came to his adoptive son he always knew that someday Zero would had enough of living under the same roof with Kaname Kuran. the two just could not get along and when it came to sharing Yuki that really had made Zero escape the house the moment his final ends had been drawn by Kaname he could not blame the young man anything so when he and Yagari Touga a few weeks ago had talked about Zero and what to do with him he together with the dark haired rough vampire hunter had come up with the idea to try sending Zero away on a long holiday there by needing the help of Kaitou who still seemed to be very concerned when it came to Zero from the moment he had come back to focus himself on helping Zero focus on his future instead of the endless killing he did at nights but that had all ended the moment he had gone back to Yuki Kuran to end their war to end being enemies Kaitou had tried to understand Zero's reasons but till this day on could not understand why Zero could just not give up on the Kuran princess.

Though when Cross had asked the young vampire hunter to accompany Zero on a long trip to Italy to try getting him to come at peace with himself Kaitou was more than eager to agree thinking that it was a very good idea to have Zero away from the Kurans and just have him around to talk to
hoping that he could get Zero to forget about his sorrowful love live he had with Yuki Kuran
but knew that was not going to be all that easy though he saw no reason to why not try it and had agreed to come pick Zero up in his own car a yellow sports car that he used from time to time just to get the attention from the ladies.

By the time that Kaitou arrived on school grounds Zero was all ready waiting at the gates
holding a dark grey duffel bag in one hand and another larger black bag stood on the ground stuffed with his clothes and personal stuff he needed when being away on holidays.
though he mood was not all that great when seeing the small sports car race towards him honking as he arrived.

Dying down the engine Kaitou stepped out of the car and looked over at Zero a smirk like grin on his face as he did so. ''Ready to go Zero-kun?'' he said in a very cheerful tone that was a little bit to cheerful for Zero who just shrugged his shoulders grabbed the bag that was standing on the ground and without another word grabbed the handle of the left side of the car dumped in his two bags and got seated on the passenger seat besides Kaitou.
Grinning Kaitou stepped back in and started the engine again to look back at Zero
''why the long face cheer up Kiryu i bet we will have lots of fun dont we'' and slapped him on the shoulder slightly making Zero frown at Kaitou making Kaitou known he was not really in the mood for small talk rigth now and turned his head away to look out of the window instead.
''I know you are still very upset over what happend this morning and i admit i was a bit to harsh on you but sending you on this holiday is in everyones best intrest for you Zero-kun we all knew that when we heard you would move in with the Kurans it would go wrong one day and so it did.

But all Zero did was remain silent to everything that Kaitou had just said no response was to be heard from the silver haired boy as he remained in the same position and kept on glancing out of the window like nothing was wrong. That made Kaitou leave Zero alone for the time being and only focused on his driving since they had arrived on the highway and since it was getting slightly crowed on the road he could not permit himself to lose his focus on the road ahead.

The way towards the airport continued on in silence for Zero it was only Kaitou that was the one talking most of the time Zero's mind was elsewhere thinking about his kuran princess his Yuki thinking about what she would be thinking about him now if she were to be worried about him at all but knew Yuki and god he knew her so dam well he knew that she was thinking about him too
but his leaving was for the best he could not bear to be around her any longer if that Kuran was to be by her side like almost always no Zero saw no need to go back and that made him step out of the bright yellow sports car when Kaitou had stopped the car with yelling breaks which had gotten Zero back to reality rather rough.

Grinning the elder hunter had parked his car really close to the airport and when they both had all of their bags and suitcase in Kaitou's case they left to the airport to check in and wait for their plane to arrive.

One hour later both Zero and Kaitou were seated in the plane that was almost ready to go.
They were still explaining the most important things and most of all kept repeating to fasten your seat belts but both hunters had all ready fasten since they had taken their seats.

Zero was seated near the window and Kaitou was seated rigth besides him while their bags were stored in the upper drawers right above their heads.

Inside the plane it was still a bit crowed but that soon ended as the passengers took their assigned seats and the plane started to move first slowly but soon enough faster and faster until it finally had enough speed to take off into the air.

Taking a deep breath Zero leans back in his seat and closes his eyes. it was going to be a long,long flight and since he never was a social person not with only Kaitou to talk to he thought that sleep was the better option then having to listen to Kaitou's chatter all the time. and soon enough he drifted away into a light sleep.

One of the ladies that brought everyone coffee and tea came to their seat then and saw Zero sleeping so she only asked Kaitou what he wanted to drink since Zero had fallen asleep he told her coffee was fine she poured him a cup and left to serve more passengers in the plane again.

Sipping from his coffee slowly Kaitou sits more deeper in his seat and watches the clouds fly past.

After three hours had flow by Kaitou nudged Zero to wake up rather roughly because he knew Zero was a deep sleeper he had to wake him up plenty of times in class to know that so very well.

Opening his eyes Zero glares at Kaitou but did not say anything but just got out of his seat grabbed his things and follows the older hunter out of the plane to be welcomed by the warm sunlight shining into his sensitive vampire like eyes which got him to blink and stumble on the stairs but soon enough a arm was being placed on his shoulders to guide him on his way looking over his shoulder he saw Kaitou and gave a half smile in appreciation who in return gave a smile back. The older hunter knew about his condition and did his best to help him in this kind of weather.

While Kaitou took care of a taxi that would bring them to their hotel Zero was left behind at the side of the road but had taken refuge in the shadows of some high trees that were giving enough shelter to hide away from the burning sunlight. It sure was hot here in Italy he noticed as he swaps away some sweat from his forehead and sighs deeply hoping for Kaitou to come back all ready.

Tapping with his feet impatiently he leans with his back against the thickest tree and sighs once more what was taking him so long he could not understand it sure did nothing good to improve his all ready moody mood.

When finally Kaitou came back running towards Zero while wearing a pleased smile on his face
''This way Kiryu-kun i found us a taxi to the hotel come with me now''
''Bout time Kaitou'' Zero said a little bit annoyed that the elder man ignored as he grabbed for his luggage to lead them towards the blue taxi waiting not that far away from were Zero had stood waiting.

When all of their luggage was all safely packed away in the backseat of the taxi they were finally ready to start driving towards the hotel that Cross and Yagari had booked for the boys to enjoy a 2 weeks long holidays.

After a ten minute ride they had arrived at the hotel that when stepping outside the taxi did looked pretty impressive. it was a large white apartment building with swimming pool and all included

''Whaa pretty amazing cant wait how it looks from the inside Kaitou said when taking a closer look at the hotel before them.

While Kaitou was very pleased with the hotel Zero just shrugged his shoulders he really had not planned to go on holidays at all not when Yuki continued to stay on his mind but he had to stop thinking about her now that he was so far away from her all the way in Rome and when Kaitou rather roughly pushed him forwards made him come back out of his thoughts again to glare at said mad behind him who was grinning rather silly back at him

''Zero-kun come lets check in and then we are free to start our holidays come lets go stop thinking and relax a little will you'' Shaking his head Zero led himself get pushed towards the front door of the hotel to make a beginning of this forced holidays all ready thinking it was going to be hell with only Kaitou as his only companion but he had no other choice now had he?

Once they were all in checked and Kaitou who could not help but to flirt with every lady that pleased him in which Zero had just rolled his eyes and had looked away both hunters had gotten a hotel room that had view over the sea and mountains it had a medium sized balcony to enjoy the nice sunny weather and gave you the chance to enjoy the pretty view. it had two bedrooms one bathroom with bath and two mirrors one small bathroom with only a toilet and a washing basin.
the bedrooms had either two wardrobes two nightstands at either side of the bed and a light brown curtains handing on the wall to cover up at night all in all the whole hotel room was pretty expensive and luxe looking.

But to Zero such things as expensive bedrooms did nothing much at all. dropping the two bags he was holding on his bed he moves towards the balcony and steps into the shadows to watch the view while Kaitou walks towards his own room and decided to leave the young hunter to himself for the time being hoping that he would be able to relax if only for a couple of days.

It was for his own good. Spending so much time with that Kuran princess was not doing Zero that much good lately he needed to be with humans again then only vampires Kaitou wanted Zero to not lose his human side forever he wanted the young man to realize that he still possessed one side that was still human underneath his vampire side.

Placing his luggage inside the wardrobe for the time being Kaitou rests for a bit on the large two persons bed and sighs deeply as he place his hands underneath his head and feels his tired muscles relax bit by bit. yes going on holidays really was a good idea from Cross and master Yagari Kaitou couldn't agree more with the two older hunters right this very moment.

As for Zero the young vampire hunter had come to terms more with being on holidays now but still everytime he tried to relax Yuki's face came into his mind and he had to shake his head for the image to fade again why couldn't he forget about her even if he tried.
